Scout

When choosing to play as a Scout, you will get skills that are great for both the Assassin and the Ranger. This is helpful because it will assist you in learning which class you want to play, by playing both of them at the same time.

The most negative part about Scouts is their low defense, making them easily killed by mobs or other players. At the same time, however, Scouts have great damage dealing ability, allowing them to kill quickly. Really, gear does mean a lot for Scouts because your goal is going to be to kill your enemies before they kill you.

The best way to level as a scout is either with a tank or a healer. Either of these is okay because a tank will play as your meat shield (which allows you to constantly deal out as much damage as you are capable of doing) and a healer will keep your health up while you do the same. Playing as a scout alone is very rough due to the low defense, so it is not recommended to do so.

As you play through as a scout you will be able to get skills that are based on rangers or assassins. Really it is best to determine ahead of time which class you wish to go with so that you can specialize solely in that, however if you need to you can mix the two until you Ascend and actually choose your final class.
