Classes

There are multiple different classes you are able to choose from (a total of 8) in four different categories. The different categories are as follows.
Warrior - Tanks
Mages - Nukers
Priests - Healers/Buffers
Scouts - Damage Dealers

This will help figure out which category you wish to play in, and then you must also choose which class you would like to play as. If you read the following sections they should give significant information into the various categories and classes, and should be able to assist you with determining which class you wish to play as.

Keep in mind that you have until you Ascend in the game before you choose the class, so you are not in a huge rush to do so. You do, however, need to choose your category!

Warrior

The Warrior classes are for players who wish to be able to either tank (withstand) a lot of damage or be able to tank a moderate amount of damage but still be able to deal a considerable amount. With this type of class you are able to use the Plate armor type. This armor has the most physical damage prevention, however magical damage prevention is not always the highest. Note that the Warriors are the only classes able to use the Plate armor type to begin with.

Now, when choosing to be a Warrior one must determine whether they want to be a tanking character (which does not deal nearly as much damage as some of the others) or a hybrid damage dealer and tank (which does not tank as well as the tank does, but does deal more damage). For the tank, you will want to go with the type Templar. As for being the hybrid, you will want to go with the class Gladiator.

The Warrior classes are highly recommended for new players, being that they can take many hits from enemies (mobs or players) before dying. This is effective because it helps you learn the various game mechanics while playing, rather than dying constantly and having to keep returning to the spawn point and running back to where you were.
