Armor Smithing

Armor Smithing is the profession to take if you wish to create heavy armor. Note that the armors you will be able to create are heavy (plate and chain) and shields. This profession can sometimes be as expensive or more expensive than weapon smithing, but you are limited to only items for heavy armored users.

For this profession you must obtain low materials such as Iron Ore, Charcoal Briquette, Iron Dissolving Agents, and others and you will use these to create the higher items like Steel Ingots, Steel Wires, Steel Chains, Small Steel Plates, Medium Steel Plates, Large Steel Plates, Titanium Ingots, Titanium Wires, Titanium Chains, Small Titanium Plates, Medium Titanium Plates, and Large Titanium Plates.

Just like with weapon smithing you will need a recipe for the items you wish to craft, as well as the various materials that are needed for the item. The level of the item and the rareness determines your profession level requirement in order to create it, and you level it up by a NPC as well. You do the quests which require you to create items and then you turn them in to boost your profession level. For this profession, there are levels 1, 10, 20, 30, and 40.
